Flag pole holder

Well it took a few dollars in supplies but in the end, the project turnt out pretty good. All I used was a 2' piece of 1.25" PVC pipe with a cap on one end. 4 hose clamps and a Flag Pole Buddy from Camping World. Click image for larger version

Feel free to steal away. I didn't want to violate the airstream anyway so this was a quick and easy option. The pole is telescoping. I just added this solar powered light so I can leave the flag up all night. Click image for larger version

Fantastic - nice touch too on the lighting for night-time. I often see the Flag displayed at night without proper illumination. I'm a real stickler for the Flag Code.

Me too. Been in the Air Force for 19 years. I display our colors with pride and in accordance with proper flag protocols.

So, here's the question everyone forgot to ask...... How is it in Strong Winds ? Does it hold up or start to "tilt"? (like times when you have to roll your awnings in due to the winds).

I want to fly a flag from my trailer.
I have a flag with a Magnolia flower on it. The WBCCI Mississippi unit newsletter is called the Magnolia Messenger. I support a Gospel newspaper also called the Magnolia Messenger. I also live in the Magnolia state.
I don't have a flag pole or a clue how to mount one. I was thinking a flag pole holder mounted to the tongue jack would work.

MB can you show a shot of the back side of how the pipe clamps are attaching to the pole holder? Opening photo looks like they are parallel and I have pondered how they are attached.

As far as the winds, I have no idea. Yesterday we had 20 MPH sustained winds and it did great.
