Had a similar issue in my house. There is some information online about installing a new head on an HDMI cable, but all the solutions I found were home-made fixes. With no other choice I pulled the wall apart and ran a new cable. You are likely facing the same task.
I just fixed mine. With some patience you can return the exposed contacts (wires) to their original shape and slip the broken piece back on through the end that broke off. There is a hole for each wire and the challenge is to line up all the contacts into the individual holes. There are approx. 20 wires in 2 rows. I tipped the part that broke off and got one row in place and partially put them into their holes and then tipped the next row in while keeping the first row in their holes. don't force the contacts into the holes because you will bend some of them and start over. Take your time. Once you get that done, do not try to use this again this way as the broken piece will come off. Purchase an HDMI adapter swivel female to male (approx. $5) and put it on the end you just repaired and permanently tape the adapter on the repaired end.
Faced the same issue. There is a company that sells bulk cable, ends and a tool to make it work.

I didn't want to purchase the tool for a one off project. Looked around at custom home AV companies, they didn't have the tool or even know about it. I tried custom audio installer they didn't have it either. So I'm stuck. Mine is behind a rivited conduit and refer cabinet. Maybe not a ton of money to take apart but right now I just have a loose cable that needs to be put away and hooked up as needed.
