Unhappy Fantastic Fan Dome Arm Disconnected

My FF dome will not open/close, although the motor runs nicely as always, turning the handle slowly inside. Moving/pulling the handle to "manual" has no effect. I went up top and pulled gently on the dome. It comes open easily and I can lift the geared end of the arm out of its socket. There appears to be a pin which secured the gear at one time. I can not see any way, from either inside or outside to get in the gear area to replace the pin. Can someone with experience in FF dome repair give me some instructions?

Call the factory. 800-521-0298 They are the nicest folks and will solve your problem. I had a problem last week and they had me taken care of in no time.

I knelt on my dome (10 years old) while working on my AC unit last week and put a crack in it. I called them to buy a new dome and they sent me one no charge. I told them that it was MY FAULT and not a warranty type issue. I was told it should not have cracked and they would not charge me, even though I insisted. A few days later it was at my door. Amazing!
