Extended Warranty.......Again, but
I know there’s lots of posts in the forums on this topic. Most saying not to go with them. I usually don’t but I’m tempted this time.
So let me ask the question another way and let’s see what answers we get.
Who of you didn’t go with an extended warranty but now wish they had?

Nope. Looks like no one. You’re buying brand new, doesn’t airstream do a three year warranty now? Out two year warranty was plenty to handle all of our challenges. We full time.

I had a 2 year warranty, not the 3 they offer now. I don’t regret passing on the extended. I guess I’m not your target audience for the question. [emoji3]

I have an older Airtstream. Nothing that was warrantied appeared in the first two or three years. My roof caulk needed to be replaced, but Airstream views that as wear and tear, no warranty. The problems I have had would also likely be judged as wear and tear, although I assert that if they had been done right the first time, they would not have broken. I am not familiar with the extended you are talking about, but often anything warrantied by a supplier is not covered, like appliances. Universally, extended warranties are a waste of your money.

The other thought with extended warranty is that they are typically dealer specific. If you find yourself on the road needing repair you’ll need to go where you purchased it. As previous poster said, you usually don’t make your money back from warranty so it’s not worth it. Last thought on the subject, most manufacturers have warranty on their product beyond standard airstream warranty. Dometic for example is covered for 3 years which is one year above and beyond airstream.
