I'm a relatively new owner of a
1965 Safari who needs to replace two skylights.
Does anyone make skylights that will fit with the attachments that open and close the originals? I've attached photos of the equipment.
Could use a reference on where to buy vintage or new skylights that can function as the originals or to be told why using old ones isn't a good idea. Maybe no one makes them to work in the specific sizes or they will leak so just replace... I assume new ones will have to just be permanently attached and won't be able to open?
The outside dimensions of the vertical flanges are 13 3/4 " x 25" and 13 1/2" x13 1/2". I put the measurements on the photos below also. Both skylights are different and the hardware different so maybe a skylight that works with one opener is still available even if the other isn't?
