Duro Aluminum Jelly? & AS bath time?

I need to clean the old gunk, caulk, dirt etc... from around the windows before I install the new glass and seals. What product do most people use?
I bought Duro Aluminum Jelly. Is that ok to use? Would like to see what others have already used successfully. Also, what type of soap do you all use to wash your AS exterior? Mine was sitting for 10+ years and has caked on dirt, moss and you name it... Tks, Z

PS. Somebody please write a Airstream Restoration & Maintenance for Dummies Book...

Thank you for all of your help yesterday! I appreciate all of your input more than you can possibly imagine. I never used a power drill and power saw until yesterday...so when I say I am a newbie to AS restoration... I ain't kidding. So far the best part of ASRes is gutting the interior...worst part so far...varmint holes chewed in the floor.

You've found it... Plus, you're in the credits by posting here...

To clean aluminum where it will not show just use ScotchBrite pads - a pre-used green pad leaves a great finish for gasket adhesives. A quick wipe with a solvent cloth after cleaning and you're set to go...

and those "varmint holes" are usually floor rot caused by various water leaks...a quick search here will tell you more than you want to know about floor rot!
