Duo Therm Am I missing something??

New To the forums .. Recently Purchased an argosy 22.. Having trouble with the duo therm roof top unit .. Should it just turn on with the switch on the unit ? or ? it was cold out (38) last night when I tried to get it working could that be a factor?

Generally the fan will turn on at any temp, but the compressor will not start unless it is warm enough (upper 60's generally) inside the trailer so the thing thinks cooling is needed. Some units do cycle the fan with the compressor, so nothing will come on unless it is warm enough, but they are not common in RV AC systems. However the PO could have done some modifications to the controls.
