Dump valves 'nite light'

I own a 2002 25 safari and after changing a bad bulb in the nite lite just behind the dump valves I still cannot get it to work.
Any suggestions?

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

First off, welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

As to your question, I also have a 2005 Safari (25 FB). The switch on those sewer night lights are notorious for going bad. I am now on my third light unit, and it has recently gone out, again. Since that light is just about useless anyway, I don't think that I will bother replacing it. I use a florescent work light when I need to attend to sewer matters after dark.

I had the dump valve light on my trailer fail after 4 ½ years of service. The problem was not caused by the bulb but failure of the Judco pushbutton switch. I bought a replacement from DigiKey Corporation link below.

Hi, in eight years, I have only used my sewer light once. I replaced the switch with a heavy duty water proof toggle switch.

I didn't even know there was a light.

Where is the switch, Robert?

Hi, I don't have a good picture of it, but it is located right above the sewer connection. The switch is just above the light.

My light works fine but I wish they would have put one above the tube that holds the sewer slinky. That flat lid covering the tube is almost impossible for me to get into the locking position. I know there must be a simple way but I just keep fumbleing with it. The step light, jack light and the light above the sewer connection are pretty useless.

I would forget about the sewer light; it is easy to leave on or bump on unknowingly and will drain your battery. Same thing applies to the lights in the storage compartments. Shifting cargo can turn on the storage compartment lights. Better the lights were not there.

A simple LED headlamp works just fine for dumping and for replacing the cover on the hose storage..

Here is where you can purchase a new switch and the rubber cover for it. I purchase several of each since they are cheap enough.

I added a light over the slinky tubes. Power was easy to reach, as the side storage compartment is just above it. Detached the light, drilled a hole for the wire to pass to that area in the dark curved trim. Works great, and no lost slinkies.
