ducted roof air on '67 Airstream??

After reading reviews and seeing the ducted A/C's on the 2015's, I got to thinking about doing that to my "HVY MTL" trailer.
I know they have a bulge on the roof but people are saying they are quieter than the ceiling mounted ones. I am doing a full gut and the interior panels are off, and have extra ribs and such for reinforcements so now would be a good time to do this. Any thoughts on how to go about this??

The reason they can do this on the newer trailers is because the bows are no longer one piece. 25' and up use a three piece system of suppots. You would almost certainly have to make the ceiling lower rather than the roof higher.
