Dometic frig won't work on gas

I replaced the cooling unit and it works great on shore power. When I disconnect shore power with frig in auto it switches to gas and lites the flame. It stays lit for about 30 seconds then goes out, it reignites a minute or so later and goes out after 30 seconds or so. Is it normal to go off and on or should it stay lit. I replaced the thermocouple - didn't help. What could it be?

What brand, and how old is the fridge?

It is a Dometic and it is vintage 1999 same as my Safari.

Have you tried adjusting the thermostat (if it has one) to a higher setting to find out if it will stay lit longer? You may have low gas pressure. Is the propane bottle(s) full? Do you have a good flame on the cooktop? Have you checked for a gas leak at the fittings on the refer?
