So... I have the airstream bug and a willing spouse now. I happen to find a disaster locally and don’t know if I really want to go this deep. I have all winter to replace or repair the frame and get a waterproof... well leak resistant wheel completed. Looking at this project today and I think... I don’t know if this is a - worth it or b - even a feasible project.
I thought I might just build a new frame using the old one as a template but it looks like the whole shell could be tweaked beyond repair as it moved off the frame mounts.
I’m ok with it not being perfect as many of the dents and creases are not going to be perfect when repaired.
Am I just dreaming or is this a feasible restoration.
