Discolored Interior Aluminum

Iíve removed the vinyl from a small piece of interior aluminum in my 1971 Ambassador to find that itís sort of a stricky brassy color. I have attached photos.
Is there anything I can do to get the aluminum color back??

That looks like the aluminum has been treated with alodine, which is an acid treatment to prevent corrosion and aid in paint adhesion. It is commonly used on aircraft skins after stripping/washing/etc and prior to primer being applied. Usually a light gold color. Don't know if AS ever used Alodine or if possibly your skin was replaced with a sheet of aluminum, by a good aircraft sheet metal man.
