Dehumidifier is Making my Room Hot

Is this normal? I live in hot and humid environment. Does this mean that my saline solutions and lotions and beauty products would grow bacteria or fungus from the heat from the dehumidifier on during hot and humid summer? If I turn it on, it gets very hot. Especially I turn it on hot days because of humid. I don't want any of my items to grow bacteria so I'm worried

It is normal for a dehumidifier to discharge hot air.

You might want to try a desiccant dehumidifier in the place where you store those items. These types don't produce heat when they are drying the air (although you need to plug them in to recharge them.) Eva-Dry makes several models as well as quiet non-compressor types for larger areas.

I live in Asia where it's high humidity. Would they still work for the bedroom? And is the current electric one I have not good and would it produce bacteria on those items?

I put one of the desiccant dehumidifiers in a drawer with sensitive items to keep them dry. I have no idea if these items would work in Asia as your electric grid may be at a different voltage.

A good air conditioner will also dehumidify and cool at the same time.

Maybe an air conditioner is the answer. It not only dehumidifies the air but cools it as well.

Unless they are single use products, your saline and creams etc will have the needed preservatives in them to prevent bacterial and fungal growth. Dehumidifiers essentially work like refrigerators, they and the humidity in the air condenses on the fin or cool parts and falls into a container. To do so the motors actually create heat - just like your refrigerator or air conditioners (the drips from a AC are condensing water). Unless vented to the outside refrigerators also heat the rooms they are in. If you are concerned about humidity in an enclosed area desiccants work well, but must be changed out. Please note if your saline is open, and you run a dehumidifier, then over time the saline could become more concentrated than it should be and that would not be good for your eyes. Leaving it open would also make it susceptible to bacterial contamination.

Yes, this is normal. Maybe you should get an AC unit instead. Whenever a machine is doing work heat is generated and has to go somewhere.
