Can I mount Awning Track instead of Trim Rail?

Hello.

Finally getting to skinning my Franken-Trailer.

Question. I'm about to Cleco up some skins and I'm lining up trim. I was planning on putting on awning track. at the top of the trailer errr... can't I just use the awning track instead of the corner trim? They have the exact same dimensions. See pic.

The rail itself where the rope for the awning would go in would just be pointing down. Only a slight curve too.

part of me says... why the hell wouldn't it work? Part of me says... better ask.

I mean. How else would you do it if you were strating from scratch? I guess a few inches below the top trip? Straight across? Hmmmm... seems messy.

Framing is .040
Skins are 2024T3 .032
Rivets will be 1/8 at 1.25 inches apart.

Seems like it would be just fine??? Eh???
