BW Tank?

14 gallon dimensions 5-6 inches left to right 4-6 inches length wise... over all 16x46 inches.

I found something that I think would work in my restore. It would fit in between my frame rails. Modification to the floor height in the bathroom area would have to be addressed. However since I am replacing everything I can adjust as I build.

My question is...this is a true waste tank. So left to right and front to back are sloped. It has a side dump. Does this present a problem that I am missing?

Thanks for any input.

Your question is vague. But I'll try to give an answer. Yes you can change the tanks out. There are many options available for tank setups. I reconfigured my tanks with all of them under the floor between the rails. Remember that it's all suppose to flow downhill. You may have redo waste plumbing but all doable.

I think my main concern (all my old tanks were gone) is the side dump. I was thinking front is normal place...but I guess it won't make any difference as long as the potty is a direct flush into the tank.

Front?

Most dump valves are on the street side or rear of the trailer. Never seen one on the front. Does not really matter as long as you have a decent size hose...

All mine are side dumps to the left if your looking from the back. If your putting the tank below the floor in the rails a side dump is what you need so that your waste pumping doesn't hang to low. For above the floor where the tank is enclosed with wood all around a bottom dump would be correct.

Got it

I should have posted a picture...so everyone is clear on my thought pattern. Anyway here is the tank.

The above comments make sense. This tank will be in the next to last cross member . The side dump will be on the left side of the tank facing the curb side.

The toilet will be sitting on the deep end of the tank. So all in all I think it will work.

Looks very similar to the ones I got. It may sit below the rails on the 6 inch side. Mine did but all my tanks are near the axles. You could the tank level on the bottom of the 6 inch side and have 2 inches above the floor encased with a wood frame. Or just let it hang below the rail. It might drag occasionally since it's located at the last crossmember

BW Tank on a 54 Safari

Our 54 Safari has a front roadside corner bathroom. Our tank is positioned within the frame rails under an elevated toilet. The piping drops from the tank and elbowed back along the outside of the belly pan to a waste valve that is positioned just in front of the roadside tire. The piping is painted black and not noticeable. This added piping length provides additional black water storage.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
StevieB
