Bug removal

I read with interest the thread about removing tree sap from AS. My question is what you use to remove squashed bugs from the front of your AS? If left on too long they can be a ***** to remove. On my old fiberglass TT I used Tuff Stuff Multi Purpose Foam Cleaner and it worked great. Not sure if it’s recommended for aluminum or stainless steel.

On the stainless steel?

I learned here about using wet dryer fabric softener sheets, then finishing with a damp MF towel. Tried it week or two ago on the bugs here in Northern Michigan. Worked extremely well.

I just use hot water with dawn dish soap and a soft scrubby so as not to scratch the finish. Works well. I’ve also airplane dry wash. More expensive though.

I just did a whole detailing removing tree sap with hand sanitizer and Alcohol. I tried everything. Used Turtle wax bug and tar remover on the bugs. It worked fine. Just let it sit for a few minutes to let it work. Scrub with a microfiber cloth. The alcohol removes all finish protection though so you will need to wax afterwards.
