Best place to find consolidated specs?

Hi folks,
I just made an agreement to pick up a '65 Globetrotter in need of some TLC by the end of the month. I've found a wealth of knowledge here but I was hoping there may be an area I haven't found with specifications for individual models. I'm looking for things like capacities, weights, details about components like axles, wheels, fixtures etc. Possibly a source for vintage model owner or service manuals.

I've found a lot of the info spread across the forums, but it's often difficult to tell what is universal to all models vs. unique to some. Details about the 1960's Globetrotters seems to be a bit scarce where I've been looking so far. If anyone knows of such a consolidated source or where I can get manuals I'd appreciate being directed to it.

Thanks

There are brochures on the Airstream site and a chart of weights by year and model. The Vintage Airstream Club has some materials also. http://vintageairstreamclub.com/

I don't believe service manuals exist for a trailer that old, IIRC they did not start those until 1972.

However it appears that Airstream does have a reprints of some of the 1960's owner's manuals, so maybe you can get something close enough to work for you.

Thanks folks,
Had found the stuff on the airstream site. No service manuals for 196Xs. They have owners manuals for 66 which I assume should be the same - need to figure out whether it's a double or twin. two fold out sofas rather than the dinette. I'll poke around and figure that out unless someone can tell me off hand.

Thanks for the replies.

The VIN decoder on the Airstream site may help with the double/twin question. It shows our '97 to be a twin.
