I have been working on my 1979 sovereign for a bit now. Took the belly pan off to get better access to fixing the frame. Now I am trying to get the new belly pan that I ordered on. I am not sure if I am using the right size bit to drill the holes or not. I have read 3/8 bit to use, but it seems to big. I can’t get the rivet to pop and hold. Thoughts?

Did you save the old belly pan so you can measure off it?

The rivet shaft is really close to 1/8" - 3/16" (look at the photo with the measuring tape)
Buy the rivets first, measure them to determine the proper drill bit size.
The rivet should fit snuggly into the hole. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...&v=yuJqCtSrad0
