Awning strap

If this question has already been answered I can't find it so here goes. On my 2008 Classic, when i released the main awning to store it, the strap went up into the awning roll itself, Any ideas on how to get to the strap? I am by myself presently and I'm sure with some help we could manually try to unroll the awning to get it out but thats not an option right now...

Only way to get the strap out is to unroll the awning by hand, start by pulling on the front awning arm to get the roller away from the AS, then continue to unroll the awning with your hands. It is not easy to do alone, but not impossible. Of course it is a snap with two people.

You won't have to fully unroll, just enough to get hold of strap unless completely rolled into awning. No mater how much exp. you will still mess up and roll to much strap so end not seen. AS stated pull on front arm or have person each arm pull so can grab strap.
