Avion Bumper End Caps?

Hi folks,

We're the proud new owners of a '75 Avion La Grande. We're still figuring out all the work cut out for us, mostly leaky pipes in the bathroom and exterior electrical wiring.... at the moment... . But I do have one seemingly simple fix.

Our rounded bumper which stores the sewage hose is missing end caps. What's recommended as a replacement? I thought a pvc cap might work but they're 4 in in diameter whereas the bumper end is 4.5 in round (exterior diameter). Any suggestions?

Thanks so much!

A couple of these might do the trick:

You might want a quick-release clamp instead:

Or these?

Ah, thank you! These are a good fit. I like the price of the first option better, though the quick release clamp would probably be necessary.

I happened to also reach out to someone who'd listed an Avion bumper for sale on Craigslist with vented end caps, and he actually used these plastic grates from Home Depot. They're apparently a perfect fit and secured with a thick nail in the original pin hole. I think I might try these given the simplicity and price ($3)!

Here's how they look on his bumper:

THAT is a great idea!!

I like that idea best, too. Functional, inexpensive, should last a long time......

Way to go!
