Aux in port in 2006 international
My first Airstream a 2006 International 25'. I'm trying to stream Bluetooth music by plugging in a BT dongle into the RCA jacks in the picture. Toggle the radio unit between CDC 2 and CDC3, no sound. The radio unit works fine on the tuner and playing CD. Does anyone know what's wrong or how to troubleshoot? thanks!

I'm confused. Isn't your Sony unit already have a Bluetooth receiver within?

I do not believe so. Mine is from 2006, looks like original equipment. There isn't a bluetooth mode. Do you know of a headunit that has bluetooth and also plug and play?

If your trailer is wired like my 2020 International, then those connectors are wired to the television, not the stereo. Mine is USB, but it's still a connection to the television.

It’s a great trailer. I’m just trying to update the electronic parts where it’s lacking since the trailer is about 16 years old. But overall it’s a great trailer for us. What radio did you change to if you don't mind sharing? was it a plug a play model? not trying to spend a lot to get bluetooth streaming but it's nice to have.

I'm sure if you do a quick internet search with the model of your Sony player, you can find the user manual for it & tell if it has the Bluetooth feature already. Else, go ahead and pull out the unit to find out what the cables connect to (label them). As for mine, I'll replace mine with a better unit later when it breaks. However, I did put in a 4K Roku streaming stick (it's the model that can control my TV power & volume as well). Also, I have a mini Google Assistant (that one that looks like a mushroom). Both are usable while parking at home with strong wifi.

If you want music: get a Taotronics Bluetooth receiver from Amazon ($15). Plug that to aux port of your Sony to pick up your IPhone BT signal, enjoy!
If you want to mirror your iPhone on TV for movies like Netflix, etc.: get the original Apple HDMI-DVI (lightning) adapter for $50, enjoy!
Hope this helps!

That's exactly what I did, but instead of a Aux port of my sony, which is not there, I tried using the Aux-in port in the cabinet. But I cannot get the sound to come out and hench this thread. May need to open up the unit and the cabinet behind it to see how the wires are routed. But thanks anyway.

So I pulled out the unit and found a wire connector not connected. Plugged it in and boom, we have Bluetooth via aux and I also got subwoofer back too! Apparently the PO disconnected it to save battery I guess? But problem solved thanks for everyone’s input.
