Appliance Boneyards?

I need an oven gas valve from a 1984 Magic Chef. It's the one to the left that adjusts the temperature in the oven. My husband had it completely apart & cleaned/pressure aired everything, but to no avail. Still not enough gas to make a big enough flame to heat the thermostat. Does anyone know where to try calling for this part? I tried Colaw's, but they only sell complete ovens. I really don't want to spend $450 on an appliance I'll only use a handful of times a year!
Thanks!

Try a tow yard. I went in to one in my neighborhood after I broke three of my burner grates boondocking on the logging roads. He had three trailers in his yard that were not being claimed. Some were in pretty rough shape but I came away with two burners

There's an RV junkyard just north of High Springs, Florida, on Hwy 441... I've bought parts from them before. Nice people. I'll try and look their number up.

Worth a try if you know the part you need.

As my memory recalls, within the past month someone in some other post had an oven like that to give away. However it was kind of an afterthought in the response and I have no idea what the topic was. Maybe someone else here has a remembrance of the post was about and can find it.

Or, I may be totally out to lunch.

Well, I tried all of the above, but with no success. I got pretty lucky, though. First off, I have a VERY handy husband I found a working oven, along with a two way fridge on Craigslist (my Avion had a house fridge) for $150--What a deal!! I drove a couple hours & upon my return, my husband tore right into the oven and did his magic on the valve (my oven was pristine & the one I bought was kinda rusty & yucky, but worked) Boo Yaa! We have a working oven & two way fridge---pizza & beer, here we come!

We should add BigEd's reference of RVrevived (?) in Waterloo, Iowa. They scrap out Airstreams (how sad) and may have that old part we are looking for. I understand they have a webpage. They may be a good midwest source for old parts.
