Airstream interstate AC problem 2018

Howdy,

I have a weeknold 2018 Airstream Interstate. Used AC off campground 30a last weekend and several times off generator. Last night used for four hours on generator. Arrived at canpsite plugged in, nothing, nada, zilch. Tried with generstor same dispiriting result. It’s hot here in Columbus Ohio. I’ve flippef breakers, cut the house batter off and on, tried to take a break and restart everything. Nothing works, not even the fan by itself. If you toggle fan speed between low and high, you can hear a click but nothing else.

If anyone has any ideas on how to get it going again, I will be grateful , extremely grateful.

Hi, Michael. Welcome to Air Forums. Your question might be better moved or posted on the Sprinter and B Van portion of this forum, which is where the Interstate people hang out preferentially (here). Even though this is the "repair" etc. portion of Air Forums, the Interstate people tend to concentrate due to the recurrence of certain issues with the van builds.

Our Interstate is older than yours and with different equipment, so I can't comment specifically, but the other folks will be able to give you ideas on what to look for.

I don't have the same model, but is your battery disconnect switch in the "connected" position? This is required for my a/c to work. Otherwise, I get the same "click", then nothing, that you describe.

Probably not it since you tried your generator but if your power management system is set for 15 amps it may keep the AC off. With generator it should set itself to 20 amps and the AC should run.
