A/C will not turn on.

Big problem given the summer heat. We left Palm Harbor, Fl in our 2017 23 ft Flying Cloud. Arrived in central Alabama on our way to upper Michigan Coast. After check in, the A/C would not start. Spent a sleepless night and are now in Louisville, Ky. I called and left a message at Jackson Center as they are closed for the 4tth. My question is, given my predicament what the likelihood of showing up Monday morning and having someone check it out? I’m reasonably certain it is a minor electrical glitch. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Reboot. I know it sounds silly but shut the trailer down — unhook the AC power, pull a battery lead if you can. Hook everything back up and you may get lucky.

It has worked on mine...

If it's not out of your way, I'd head to Jackson Center. They might just fit you in under the circumstances.

Make sure you don't have a GFCI outlet tripped. Not sure if it would be related, but hey, it's a thought I had.

Search for a thermostat reset.

there are some simple things to check including the two suggestions. Describe your situation a bit more, perhaps we can help. Also keep in mind the A/C is just a smaller version of a home A/C and the manuals are online so you need not have an RV place service it. Any competent A/C service person can do it. Ask for a lighter weight 150-180 and agile tech. instruct him to only step on the roof rails where the line of rivets are. Use the Awning rail to initiate the climb to the room. The controller board is up top curb side. the rest is accessible from the air intake plenum.

back to the things you can easily check. Is the thermostat working? Did you accidently put it into program mode? Reset it as mentioned. Does the interior an run but it just blows warm air. Help us out I need more info. describe the situation in detail.

I wish I had know you were in central Alabama. That’s where we are...... I could have probably fixed it while you waited.

Is there an ERROR code showing on the thermostat?

Error Code:

E2 Open circuit or out-of-range indoor temperature sensor. All heat , cool, and dehumidify operations will be locked out. Manual fan operation will continue.
E3 Shorted Indoor Temperature Sensor. All heat, cool, and dehumidify operation will be locked out. Manual fan operation will continue.
E4 Open circuit or out of range Outdoor Temperature Sensor (select models). Heat pump and dehumidification operation will be locked out. Air conditioner, furnace, heat strip and fan operation can continue to operate.
E5 Open circuit or out of range Freeze Sensor. Air conditioner and dehumidification operation will be locked out. Heat pump, furnace, heat strip and fan operation can continue to operate but displays the last temperature set-point.

E7 Loss of 120 VAC power to all power module boards on the system. The system will shut down.
E8 Invalid zone configuration. The heat pump and heat strip DIP switches are both set to the ON position in one zone. Heat pump, heat strip, air conditioner, and dehumidify operation will be locked out in the affected zone.

Be sure and check the DC buss. You must have DC for the A/C to work even you have AC. DC provides control power. Is the Master switch on and not in store position

This happened to me about a month ago. While plugged in to AC power I went through the reset procedure on my thermostat. Magically all the electrons aligned and my air conditioner has worked perfect since then. I'd give it a try and see if it helps.

I don't remember the reset procedure but it is in the manual or online.

to reset the CCC2 pus zone and mode at the same time. It will say "init". Let go and turn the controller off and back on.

Big problem with my A/C.

Sincere thanks to all who responded to my problem. I tried most of the suggestions to no avail. I continued North, arriving in Jackson Center at opening time this morning. These folks were awesome and worked me in shortly after my arrival. She’s in the shop now and I’m waiting to get the word. I’ll post again after I’m out.
