Red face '73 Sovereign back up light bulbs and spare tire carrier

My AS has the wrong size bulbs stuffed into the back up light fitting. They work temperately but don't lock in so vibrate loss and loose connection every trip. What is the correct model 12V bulb for this location?
Also, I am going on a trip to CO to get out of this TEXAS Heat and need to install a spare tire carrier. Does anyone have suggestions on where to put it and if any are available prefab commercially or if I need to have someone weld one for me? I have seen photos of under tongue area and between propane tanks and front of AS. I don't think I have enough room to put it there unless I move tanks forward.
I have 73 31ft Sovereign.
Thanks in advance for help!

1156 or 1157 depending on stop tailight or brake back up. You might consider going LED. There are LED replacement bulbs that are a lot brighter than the weak light you can't see to back up.

Airstream has a spare tire carrier, that mounts out of the way, underneath the front of the trailer.

They are very easy to install, and are reasonable in price.

Your round tail and back up lights can also be easily replaced with LED lights.

I have one of those spare tire carriers. Still on my to do list, for years.

But, you have a tandem. If you do have a flat you can tow on 3 wheels to a service facility.

I just throw my spare in the back of my pick up.
