'65 Overlander emblems

I am looking into getting the "International & Overlander" emblems reproduced on a waterjet . I'm wanting to get them made out of stainless or aluminum, I will probably have several sets made. Anyone interested in a set? I haven't gotten a price on setup yet.

Making progress on on emblem reproduction. I spoke to water jet people today, need to get a cad file made of emblems & they can cut them out of stainless or aluminum. I think this will be a great alternative to rechroming & they will polish nicely

Let me know what the cost is and I will see what we can afford. Thanks for the heads up on this opportunity.

What's the latest on the emblems? I need the International for both sides.
Any update?
Thanks.

Emblem Reproduction

Let me know how these turn out. Fun project!

We're doing cast and chrome reproductions of the Bambi emblem first and then turning our attention to others. We're fussing with the 3D model to get it right before proceeding. There are tapers (like exaggerated draft angles) on each letter from the base to the top that we are attempting to nearly reproduce.

Good luck!

Please excuse my ignorance, I've been offline and off A/S for several months: what do the referenced emblems look like? Could someone post a photo, please?

I think I will add us to the list of orders, but I need my memory to be refreshed.

Thanks!

These emblems as of now won't be identical to the originals. The font will be the same, but won't have the depression& texture inside each letter as on the "International " emblem. I'm envisioning them looking like the "flat" overlander emblem. Hopefully this will all work out!

Nothing yet, we've been camping some in the overlander. Polishing, new axles ,curtains,& upholstery , I've put emblems on the back burner! I'm hoping if I wait long enough, Steve from VTS will make some!! Honestly, I probably won't resume this project until fall. I will definitely post when I have something !....... Brian

Wink

Ha! We're experimenting with the Bambi emblem which we should have in stock this week. If we like it and it sells, we'll move on to some others! Brian, let me know if you make progress so I can skip Overlander.

I know , Colin H. Told me! My goal is not to replicate an exact emblem, but one that is more durable than the original pot metal. Colin said your Bambi emblems might be plastic, I could handle that for mine if the chrome was durable.

If the Bambi emblem from VTS sell well, I would be interested in a Caravel logo that is of the similar Bambi style typeface. I know the Caravel in this typeface was not used for as many years, but mine has been welded back together by me. I don't expect it to last, so if there is a reproduction available I will be a buyer.

On the 50th Wally Byam Tribute trailer, The name "Globe Traveler" was chosen because it was a 19" foot trailer with a 18" Traveler floor plan. Since this trailer in a sense never existed, a new badge was created. The material choice was Aluminum so that it could be polished to a mirror shine. Notice the correct edge profile like the original. There is a lot of time to create badges that are period perfect that polish up and will hopefully last the test of time. I am not trying to sell these badges based on my commercial states on this forum, rather want to show that they can be done correct.
