2021 Caravel 20FB Bath Exhaust Fan

2021 Caravel 20FB. Bath exhaust fan foam gasket tangled with fan blade and motor seems burned out. Likely needs replacement. Anyone have similar issue? Looking for some insight on removing old unit and replacing with new unit. Thanks in advance.

Replacing Bathroom "Ventline" fan

The little foam gasket in the pop-up lid is worthless. Remove it and leave it out. I removed them from both of our Airstreams. Never have had an issue with water leakage. Just open and close it as usual. You can buy replacement motors. Look in the satchel of paperwork and product info that came with your Airstream. There should be a booklet about the vent fan. Go from there. I believe the manufacturer of your current fan is "Ventline".

If you want to upgrade to a bit nicer vent fan you could install a MaxxAir fan. They make 2 models for the little bathroom fans. Called a MaxxFan Dome or a MaxxFan Dome Plus. The plus has a nice LED light in it to light the shower better. MaxxAir Dome is #14-9983 (Camping World #) in white, MaxxAir Dome Plus is # 14-9981 (Camping World #) in white. Good luck. Under $100.00.

My fan burned out as well on my 2021, gotta love quality parts. I replaced it with the clear oem fan, I didn't know about the maxfan. I would definitely replace it with a better quality fan if that's the maxfan, go for it. I did run into another airstreamer who found the replacement motor on Amazon. Either way, it's a rather easy fix on your own to avoid a dealer.

IF… you turned the fan OFF soon after the tangle occurred you maybe lucky and not have a bad motor.
I had the same thing happen and after removing the foam tangle the fan returned to its normal spin. Good luck.

When mine finally quit, I found one on ebay for something like $15. No problem changing
