2019 International OR Safari Special Edition 2017 Front Bed?

Still inspecting our 2019 International Signature. A Forum Member found a bolt missing on his folding steps into his late model Airstream.

I went to check mine. If they were snug.

What I found was interesting and maybe someone has an answer.

I have a 2019 International 27 foot Front Bed Signature. Attached to the Frame was a 27 foot Safari FB SE, TT 2017 91612 sticker. (Front Bed Special Edition Travel Trailer)

Did I get a 2019 International with a 2017 Safari Frame? Would this be considered an improvement? Is this the improved Safari with International name plates, but maybe a Flying Cloud version of an International?

Is the Safari frame stronger or weaker than a 2019 International frame? Would that explain front Separation issues?

Safari's have been Flying Clouds for a few years... not in 2019.

I did get the 2006 style floor mat with this trailer in 2019.

Anyone else see a frame sticker on the Frame behind the steps on your Airstream? Does it match your model? Year? Does is say Airstream?

Hi

I think the salient detail is that the ship date on the frame was 4/16/19. It was not a frame sitting out in the lot rusting since 2017. It also was not solely intended for a 2017 anything. It got reused for multiple years.

I think it's a pretty good bet that all 27' trailers get the same frame, regardless of what the name tag says.

.... and no, I didn't get a sticker like that

ANYONE WITH A 27 or 28 foot checked for this sticker?

Anyone with a 27 or 28 foot Airstream... 2015 and later find a sticker attached to the frame, behind the steps? Could we have a photo?

Not a 16 foot. Not a 23 foot. Not a 30 foot. Not a 34 foot.

Lets say 25 to 28 foot models. We all will gain important information.

Is the Tongue Weight at the ball attachment of a 27 foot Safari SE the same, more or less than a 27 foot Front Bed trailer?

If the tongue weight for the Safari is LESS... then this becomes a problem.

If there is Front Separation due to a long list of Airstream Jackson Center current caveats to owners...now that this is out in public view... are there any other possible issues due to Frame, Axle options to these models, etc....

I have owned and towed since 2006. I have not had any problems with loading or excessive tongue weight or stress issues. But... now many are discovering there are issues with the Front Bed models, and it is the FRAME supports.

We cancelled our trip beginning October 2nd... to figure out what is going on with our trailer. If we have not changed our camping to the same places, or how we load, or vehicle from the 25 foot... what has changed?

This has now changed our use of our Airstream.

This could happen to you. Obviously there are others currently needing some answers for questions.

Also meant to add no issues with any kind of front end tomfoolery…but we also don’t have a front storage locker.
