2017 AS FC Converter Panel Door Lock FIXED!

[Too tall]

The (ahem) lock for panel which conceals the converter / breakers on our 2017 FC is lacking. I've got a simple fix, cheap as chips.

Search for this on fleabay :
5 10 25pc 12mm x 6mm 1/2" x 1/4" N52 Strong Rare Earth Neodymium Magnet Disc

Use two of these ridiculously strong little magnets stacked and place them anywhere on the metal frame (see photo).


Done.

The latch was destined for doom. It is a very flimsy design, not complaining, is not made for people with giant hands (moi).

This is a win win. Order extra magnets. I have a stack of them on our refrigerator holding notes and what not.
