2016 Classic Chrome Trim in Beltline

Came home to this yesterday. Lower trim falling off while parked in the driveway. What's the best way to fix this short of taking it back to the dealer for warranty repair? Put some painters tape on it to keep it off the ground.
Thanks

I believe 3M makes a double-sided VHB & UHB tape.

VHB- very high bond
UHB- ultra high bond

Someone with direct knowledge can correct me if that's incorrect.

Possible that you may can do some preventive sealing on the rivets before adhering it back on. Again, I've no direct experience, but have read about it several times on here.

I've put some of the 3M black weatherstrip adhesive on the glue strip, and put it back in place with some painter's tape. It seems to hold up well. Just make sure the area being glued is clean and dry.
