1967 Caravel Starting a restoration

Hey All,

Just picked up a 1967 Caravel and will be doing a restore. I have been reading the forums for weeks and just signed up and wanted to say hi. If anyone is in the Poconos, PA area and wants to stop by for free beer in exchange for free tips would be appreciated :-)

Well, it has happened to almost everyone who has a vintage trailer, so you're not alone! You might not get anyone to come out to your house to help you out, but this forum is very friendly and helpful for any kind of questions you might have in your rehab! Welcome to the forum!

That's a very cute trailer, welcome to the forums! I hate to say it but the mouse nest is the tip of the iceberg!

Yes, I love this forum. I have read so many threads to see what others were doing and there is a wealth of information here.

I got the front end all out today. I plan on getting everything out tomorrow except the bathroom area. Hopefully by the weekend I will have it all gutted out.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new 67 Caravel. I am a bit biased, but that is one of my favorite trailers. It really has a great floorplan and it is so light.

I have a 66 Tradewind that I am trying to improve slowly but surely. Some of my improvements are a bit unusual, but hey they work for me.

Thank you all for the welcome. For a 17' it does seem roomy for me and the wife. I do like the floor plan in the Caravel.
