1953 Rear window.

How does the piano hinge part of the window lock shut. I am missing some parts. Help how does this back window work?

Here's what my 58 rear window looked like pre-renovation. The crank in the upper right opens the outer window for ventilation (green). The vertical locks secure the outer window (orange). The horizontal locks secure the window assembly for escape mode (blue).

Yes, the right escape latch is below the sink cab countertop. (Moved the sink as part of the rehab.)
