What kind brakes ?

What kind of brakes does a '73 23ft safari land yacht have? Hydraulic; hyd/elec; Elec/mech???

It most likely will have pure electric(well electromagnetic/mechanical if you want to get real technical ), activated by a controller in the towing vehicle.

Thanks Aaron. since my controller instructions say it is not designed for electric/hydraulic brakes, I wondered.

I'm with you on the electric brakes. I just took posession o a 1973 31'
Excella. I put a Tekonsha prodigy and read that there would be problems with the hydraulics. I'm putting in new axles and will replace brakes bearing, etc at the sme time.

Now the search is on for the best axles.
