Velcro dash mount of brake controller?

I will shortly be buying a prodigy P2. It will only get used a few times a year so I not keen on a permanent installation as it will be hittingy shins all the time.

Assuming I can fashion a Velcro dash set up that meets the install criteria is there any reason not to? I hope to be making one cross country trip this summer.

Your going to have a mess of wires out the back. How are you planning to hid them?
You will want a solid mount so that you can quickly grab the manual lever if needed.

Without double checking, I believe this is what my Clipper has installed and it has been good for me.

Just to close the loop, I went with a solid mount, using the sleeve rather than the bracket as the mount was tighter in to the dash.

It can be easily unscrewed if needed, just leaving two small screw holes.

Now I just need to find my trailer . . . the brake controller is installed and the hitch is ready with a 2 5/16 ball to hook up one of the Argosys I have been looking for. Seems the snow in the last month has really slowed down the listings on CL.
