I am about to design a new frame for my 69'
Sovereign shell off project. Will be going with disc brakes.
Looking for advice on the best location to install the disc brake actuator? I have zero hands-on experience with these, but I understand the concept mostly. I've searched the forums and can't seem to find this specific question. If I've missed it, please redirect me.
Better to install on exterior of trailer, near the tongue? Or inside the trailer? I see the units are vented (looked at Dexter for an example), so I don't want to add moisture or potential spills to the inside of the trailer. But, by putting on the outside of the trailer, that means I will likely have to run wires back through the shell to the actuator (or maybe I have to do that anyways for the breakaway switch). I had considered making space for a toolbox behind the propane tanks and putting the actuator in there, but that's just an idea.
Any help and advice is appreciated. Pictures are always helpful.
Thanks,
Jared
