Question replacing Actibrake with Dexter actuator

OK, I am replacing my Actibrake with a Dexter actuator, and there is a wiring question that I have because the Actibrake uses an additional wire to the unit that the Dexter does not use. (Actibrake has 5 wires going to it, and the Dexter only requires 4)

It is a brown wire that has 12 volts on it, and the Actibrake information that I have says it goes to the brake-away switch, but even with it disconnected my brake-away switch has power, and sends signal to the Dexter actuator when pulled.

What did you do with the brown wire, if anything? Thanks.
