Exhaust brakes on tow vehicle

Was wondering is anyone has put exhaust brakes on turbo. I have a 02 Excursion w/7.3L diesel. I know the Banks, U.S Gear exhaust brakes are effective but don's want spend that much. Met someone recently that had a brake put on turbo by a Ford dealer and supposedly it was recommended by Ford. Thought if this one was recommended by Ford and did not affect the warranty it would be worth looking at. They are in the $400 range instead of $1000 plus. Talked to few Ford dealers and they did not have any knowledge of this. Does anyone have any information or experience with this turbo brake?

You might want to post on www.pickuptruck.com on the Ford forum or www.dieselplace.com for those who have installed exhaust brakes. They pretty much know their stuff on those forums.
