Ok, great. Be aware, the math for a floating single caliper is the same as a two piston. The pressure acting on the caliper half of the fluid chamber pushes the caliper and the piston equally ( minus friction on the knuckle and pins), so your thought of my doubling my math is an over sight. Be sure those slides and pins are clean.

It's a simple concept, and I totally missed it. Thanks for pointing it out. The rigid caliper body translates the reactive force from the piston to the other side of the rotor.

Most all automotive disk brake systems use a 2 psi RPV somewhere in the system, it's usually built into the master cylinder.

If the actuators (master cylinders) used on RV trailers don't have a built in RPV, then the addition of an inline RPV will help the response time of the trailer brakes and is not likely to negatively affect brake life in a meaningful measure.
