break away switch

My 63 GT has no b away sw. & appears to have never had one.When I get a new one how do I wire it?

You wire it between the hot wire from the trailer battery and the trailer brakes. When the pin is pulled it applies power to the brakes.

I purchased mine here. Breakaway Switch.
