I eventually did get photos from the dealer's service department. The star wheel is all chewed up from having come loose and getting stuck in the works . . .

I got an email that JC has approved my warranty. Now the dealership can order the parts. Iím hoping they stock common parts like these and donít have to wait on an order. This is a big dealership with multiple brands and a very large new shop.

Dexter

I had a similar issue, but no drum damage. My dealer was being a butt-head so I got a hold of Dexter and they had me fill out a request. I went to an RV suspension guy with the approved request, he called Dexter, fixed my brakes, billed Dexter and I went on my way. I stopped in some time later and he was happy with the whole affair, said Dexter paid next day.
This dealer was a headache and now it seems they are done with AS. Good riddance.

Hi

There are a lot of businesses that really do not "get" the point that you need at least three basic components to make things work. You need somebody who is good with dealing with people. You need somebody who is good at doing the actual work and doing it on time. You also need somebody who is good at the money side and knowing who to bill for what.

You see a lot of business that get two out of three bases covered. It should be no big surprise that they then have a lot of problems in the third area. Most figure out that you need to be able to do the work. Generally the un-covered base is one of the other two.

None of this is to say you can't have one person who is good at multiple things. The gotcha is that this is rare. Two out of the three is doing pretty darn well. There are a lot of things to be taken care of, they *all* need to get done. Overload is indeed another factor ....

All that said, how in the world you don't understand that it's a Dexter issue ... I haven't a clue.

Since I still donít have my trailer back from the shop at Ft Myers I donít have access to the owners manual. I want to get the axle / brake specs so I can carry spare parts with me. The left / right brake plate assemblies are easy enough to find. What Iím having trouble locating is the brake drum part number. I want this with the Never Lube bearing installed. Does anyone have this info ? Thanks

The dealership I purchased my new unit from told me my replacement rear bumper was not available, JC expected a shipment in maybe three weeks.
I called JC to see if I could purchase one. They offered to sell one to me and ship it out that same day.
I donít want to name names, but theyíre in the greater Tampa area and they sell RVs.
Larger parts are commonly shipped to the dealer in a New trailer being delivered to that dealer. The dealer just did not want to pay a separate shipping charge on your bumper.

It occurred to me that I should have put in the post that my trailer is a 2017 Flying Cloud 26U.
