Brake Controller Wiring Harness

I recently purchased a 2011 Toyota Tundra Double-Cab with the towing package. A small wiring harness was supplied in the glove compartment of the truck. I have ordered a Tekonsha P3 brake controller and wonder if that supplied wiring harness is all I need for the P3, or do I need to order another wiring harness specific to the P3?

Pretty sure that what is in the glovebox will work. You may have to splice a little. But if you tell Tekonsha the make and model of your truck, you will get a "plug and play" harness. That is what we did with our 2010 crew cab tundra when we bought the P3. Just makes it a little easier. Have fun!

I would order the Tekonsha Tundra cable. It makes the install plug and play with a clean install. The cable is not expensive.
