2005 30' Classic OEM Brakes/Axles

Early in 2005 Airstream switched to 5,000 lb axles. Did this switch include disc brakes - or were they still optional? The 2005 brochure addresses both disc brakes and drum brakes, so it's no help - and the archived specification sheet for the 2005 30' Classic still shows 3,500 lb axles. Can anyone clarify this?

Our 2005 30' Classic has 5000# axles and came standard with drum brakes. We upgraded to self-adjusting drum brakes several years ago.

My 2007 has 5k axles. If 2004 and 2007 have 5k, I can't believe the years in between are anything but 5k. What does the VIN tag say for gvwr?
