Where to get 215 75 14 made in USA
I am trying to find a set of 2 tires for my Avion camper. It takes 215 75 14 load range C tires. I cannot find any tires that size that are not made in China. Help I need them by the end of this week!! Thanks Brian

Just put new tires of that size on my Safari 23. Could not find any tires that were not made in China.... but have done a 1000 miles without problems with the Goodyear Marathons that I ended up having to put on. The GYM's that came off because of tread separation on one of the 5 year old tires were made in New Zealand, so I'm not sure that it really matters where the tires are made.

To paraphrase an old saying I once heard, it seems that today we can say this about tire characteristics:
- Good (well made)
- Cheap (well priced)
- Made In USA
Pick two and shaddup.

A good number of us have had good luck with these Maxxis M8008 tires. They are not made in China, most are made in Thailand. The company is located in Taiwan. I have run them on two trailers with good luck (including my current AS).

How long have you run these on your Airstream? Miles?
Just wondered. I guess this would be my next option if the GYM's give me the same trouble that many folks here have had with them.

And around what air temperatures were those towing miles? Heat is an enemy of tires.

I found 215 75 14 load range C tires MADE in USA
The trick is you have to ask for Carlisle USA Trail ST 215/75D14 tires. Most Carlisle tires are made overseas except for the USA Trail tires, which are trailer only tires. I found this online and none of the tire dealers that I called knew about this. I got them mounted last night and stamped in the side-wall is MADE IN USA.

I have four Goodyear Marathon tires on my 1974 purchased in June 2007. They were protected from the sun. The pressure is constantly checked in each tire. After 4 years and 14,912 miles they are falling apart. I thought I was buying a good US made tire, but the fine print on the sidewall is "made in China".
