Tire Size

So, we have 16,000 miles on GYMs replaced after a blowout three years ago. OEM wheels holding 225/75R15's, on a 19' 2008 Bambi. Problem is Michelin LTX is not made in the 225 size. I am NOT a tire guy, and did not find a similar question in numerous other discussions. My choice is to drop to a 215, or size up to a 235 if I want the LTX. The questions are; 1) will the 235 fit into the wheel well on the OEM wheels, and 2) is it a big deal to drop to the 215 and what are the implications?
