Unhappy tire replacement? cracks

Hi all,
looking at my tires I see some small minor cracks starting on the sidewalls. Tread is fine. I don't know how old the tires are.
I'm gonna replace the other 2 anyway(other 2 are cupped and definately need replacement along w/axles), would you go ahead and replace all 4? How can I tell?

I would go ahead and replace them. Expecially if they are cracked and you don't know the age.

I think you would feel a lot better knowing you have all new tires on those new axles!

There is really no hurry, take your time. Anytime tomorrow would be soon enough to replace all four.

Seriously - they rot from the inside out. So however bad they look outside, they are that much worse inside. A check of the archives will turn up tales of two, three, and even four old tires failing while on the road.

Tread wear is not a significant factor. In fact, the hardest thing on tires is to set in one spot for year after year.

Amen !!

Check out some of the other threads where owners have described damage and costs related to blown tires.

After I bought new tires I purchased some tire covers for ours. I understand that sitting in the sun a lot will rot them faster.
