Tire Pressure

I have a 1989 Excella 29'.
I am running Carlisle Load Range E tires.

Should I always be running these tires at the Max stated PSI?

yes or near to it. Check pressure cold and again when warm to be sure you are right on.

If those are the original wheels you should be sure they are rated at 80 psi. Probably are.

If there is a sticker showing pressures use that.

Knowing the load you are towing will help to determine pressure. The load capacity on the side wall of the tire will state max load at max pressure. Also on the side wall would be the date code expressed as a 4 digit code. This represents the week and year manufactured.

Knowing your tires and what they can and can not do will go along way to having a uneventful tow assuming you do not exceed the design of the tires.
