Tire Preservation: Parked for Winter or Traveling All Seasons
Why make this easy? I have been doing this simple Tire Side Wall preservation for as long as I had experimented. It works... for me. Perfectly.
Also works if you start today... and see what you might want to try this... more often, as well. IF your exterior side walls are turning... grayish that is not good.
This...May Be... an easy first option before replacing. Catch it early and preserve your exterior sidewalls... before cracking.
If no one is interested, that is fine. You will have to figure it out on your own and POST a possible solution. There may be several options.
No one said a word about this simple process to Preserve your tires exposed to the Sun Side Walls on your tires. Easy for the exposed side wall. Not so easy if you want to also do the interior side wall.
Clue: "Use on Countless Jobs At: Work, Home, On the Farm and in Recreation."
It is inexpensive. It has No Color. It does Smell... temporarily and no smell after an hour or two.
One Hint: This is not a DOG Tire Marking Treatment. Although, it may prevent a Dog from marking your tires if a problem for you. We have Three Blue Heelers. They do not bother our tires.
This is an 'OFF LABEL USE'.
No suggestion or guess should be dismissed. This is an Off Label option with multiple uses. There may be more Off Label Use options.

That's a really long post to make with never mentioning what you actually do/use for "simple Tire Side Wall preservation".

Pretty sure we're supposed to guess. My guess is WD-40 but honestly I have no clue. I did buy a rubber product a couple years ago but I never applied it.
Here's the one I bought, and have yet to open, purchased it Sept 2021 LOL!: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003VSATBI..._title_16&th=1

Another example of some Air Forum Members discovering inexpensive, simple cures, among the long Travel Trailer list of simple fixes, for repairs. ITSN060
Zip Ties, Lath Screws, Piano Hinges, Tow Vehicle choices, Towing on the Ball possibilities, Pop Rivet repairs, Tire Pressure fanatics.... much like a 'Circus of Ideas' that may or may not work.
WD-40! Wipe side wall to remove dirt. Apply as needed. When dry... wipe off any excess. Give it an extra coating. Repeat.
KISS : Keep It Simple Stupid
KISS Travel Trailers no longer are made today. I stopped at models made in 2019. 2019 Oliver Elite II and our 2019 27FBQ.
WD-40... KISS fixes.
Much like removing Lug Nuts. Simple... but few know that some lug nuts on their Airstream, with the shiny metal on some, will split apart, when needed to remove them. What remains needs a second smaller socket, to remove the lug nut if your exterior shiny metal stripped off. WD-40 will not work... on this.
WD 40. It took 40 attempts to get it where they wanted it. Otherwise... could have been WD 1... had it worked the first time.
Sometimes you put Cheese onto a Trap... and see what happens. Most ate the cheese... but not ITSN060.

Ray!
Love your post Ray! and yea it will make em look good as will brake fluid which is rubber compatible.
Most tires need replacing before the sidewalls rot out and if they sit for years without moving they still need replacing after 4-5 max.
Tire companies state- No chemicals on your tires. NO PIMP DADDIE SHINE!
That said after washing off the dirt I use dollar store lemon pledge water based spray on wipe off they look good and the side benefit is overspray on the rim wipes off and protects the rim. Does not attract road film like tire shine!

Ray Always Ignites Responses
I love it!
KISS
Store your trailer/ RV inside. The tires, roof, aluminum will be as protected as they can be from UV, hail, wind, snow, rain when not in use.
I think that is the best you can hope for.
Insurance covers the rest for me.
Safe travels & Have fun!
