Tire Help

Hi Everyone,
I have a question about tires. Well it's not really my question it's my husbands. We have a 1975 25 ft Tradewind.

The tires we have on the trailer are 7.0 x15 but I think they are bias ply.....what size would you put on if you are going to get radial tires like good year marathons?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

We like the Load Range D's. It has a stronger side wall and I hear over and over again that it helps in towing.

I was at the safty meeting for Spring Rally Reg. 3 in Raleigh NC and a couple of the members said they had new Loan range C's and took them off, for Load range D's

We have them on Sale.

This is what I've used on my 8,000-lb GVWR Silver Streak, tandem-axle:

Yokohama RY215 LT Load Range D, 15", 8-ply rating in 7.00 x 15 (7R-15):
Currently Available Prices and Sizes

They balanced well (less than 24-ozs per wheel/tire assembly) and exactly meet the load rating recommendation by the trailer manufacturer.

Despite the description given on the website above these are LT tires used for commercial vehicles. I run mine at the rated 65-psi.

The corporate site has a good description and picture plus specs:
Yokohama

The size should be 225, not 215.

Tires?

I am looking for new tires for my 63 Ambassador. It has 7.00-15 on it now any suggestions on what to replace them with? I have priced Trac Star "D's" . I thought radials we not good for travel trailers since they had soft sidewalls??? I thin I pulled a shoulder muscle trying to get the tires out of the wheel well, very tight!!!
