Anyone need two brand new 6 ton stands ???
Um, I think they are referring to stands placed at the labeled jacking points. I would agree with them on that account. Stands placed on the axle plates where the axles are mounted would have the same forces on the frame as sitting on the ground. Not buying your warning with stands placed on the axle plates.
This is also one reason I use 4 stands instead of 2.

I put our trailer on two jack stands at the close of each camping season to preserve the axles and tires for the past 10 years. Put the jack stand under the rear axle flange (steel plate where the axle flange is bolted to the frame). I also deflate the tires.

You may want to rethink that. Adding air replenishes the oxygen, which is one of those things that cause tires to age.

I have never had 'cracking' on any ST tire regardless of age. Even the much maligned GYM's lasted 6-8yrs.
You may want to research why it's happening and do what is needed to prevent it.
