Thanks for all of the input. I backed out of the F-rated and thought I had a solution by ordering the GY Endurance tires off the tirerack.com site provided by a few of you above. That tire was my first choice anyway, but none of the local shops could get them.

The online Tirerack Order processed fine, I received a delivery date, only to receive an email two days later that stated "they will not receive them in their warehouse" until a few days after my scheduled delivery date. One tire shop told me that the reason I can't find them is that they were all made in one Goodyear plant in Gadsden, AL, which recently closed, and the molds are being dismantled and shipped to another plant before they can provide them again.

I am skeptical at this point that Tirerack can get them, will see....

Good luck with your Goodyear’s. It’s much better towing with peace of mind over “gooder” tires. Be sure your tire installer balances your tires and inspect the tire valves; better yet, replace the tire valves. Safe travels!

If you're truly interested in the safest most reliable tire solution for your airstream, you will dump the trailer tires and move to 16' rims with Michelin LT "E" rated truck tires. I did that with my FC30 in 2014 and have had excellent results. They don't lose air and they're as reliable as passenger car/pickup tires. OEM trailer tires are extremely unreliable because they're made to a much lower design/safety spec because trailers don't carry passengers. I would also recommend steel valve stems. Rubber ones break or fail very easily.

Dittos on the 16" Michelin E rated Defender LT tires. I switched in 2012 on my 30' 2002 Classic slider, and am just changing them out even though they still look brand new. I run Centramatic wheel balancers on my AS and my F250, huge difference in wear.

Hercules = made in China

My searches show Hercs are made in China just like the obsolete GY Marathons were.

Yeah right...👎
